  6. I've tried for a very long time to  ig-
  7. nore all these  stupid  articles  about 
  8. "Lamers". In fact, I'm  as upset by the 
  9. article-writers as by  the main-editors 
  10. of mags who let  those articles be pub-
  11. lished. And you can  be  sure  that  90 
  12. percents  of  these  articles  are only 
  13. written to get free advertisments. 
  14. First of all, I  hate the word "Lamer", 
  15. I just think they are simply  excellent 
  16. game-players (try to beat  them at Kick 
  17. Off - a so  played  game  in  the ELITE 
  18. meetings) who  prefered to buy an Amiga 
  19. instead  of  a  console  (Can  they  be 
  20. blamed for this ?) or they are  just be
  21. ginners,  like   we   have   all  been. 
  22. Because you, who are all so proud to be 
  23. a fucking Elite guy, have you  been one 
  24. for your first day of swapping/ coding/ 
  25. making gfx or sfx ? Or were you  a   be
  26. ginner ? Surely not, but  you  had  the 
  27. chance to begin  with  a  comprehensive 
  28. guy, who sent you good stuff or advices 
  29. back instead of  sending you a bag full 
  30. of dogshit (someone will  recognize him
  31. self). I think it's  a  total  childish 
  32. and stupid reaction.  I'm  also more up
  33. set when I read  in  ads  "Lamers  wel-
  34. come - Free disk  are  always  nice" or 
  35. something similar. What  a  shame ! You 
  36. are just a stealer, and  I  can't   see 
  37. here the difference between a car and a 
  38. disk. You are so dishonnest and you com
  39. plain about beginners. I've  been  con-
  40. tacted three times as far as  I can re-
  41. member by beginners. They sent me their 
  42. "latest   stuff"   ( RSI  megademo   or 
  43. own-cli-pack). Remembering that  I  was 
  44. helped by a very cool guy when  I was a 
  45. LAMER, I've always sent back  with  the 
  46. latest demos with a little  letter like 
  47. " I've been  honest  with  you, I could 
  48. keep the disks  but  I prefered to send  
  49. back. So it's your turn  to  be honest, 
  50. please refund me the  postage  and  try 
  51. getting some contacts  (It'll  be  easy 
  52. with the stuff I sent you) to grow  up. 
  53. Bye". Believe me or not, but the  THREE
  54. ones  refunded  me  the  postage.  Yes, 
  55. there's a balance in the world, "elite"
  56. guys  to  be dishonnest, "lamers" to be 
  57. honnestful.
  58. I'll give you  a last exemple : MY BEST 
  59. FRIEND IS A LAMER ! We are going in the 
  60. same school and he has always  been  my 
  61. class-neighbour. I  always  have  great 
  62. fun with him and we  could be brothers.
  63. He also owns an Amiga, but don't use it 
  64. in the same way as me.  I'm  active  in 
  65. the scene (some guys  would  have  used 
  66. the fucking Elite word) and he's an ex-
  67. cellent game player. But as he  doesn't
  68. do anything, I  have  to  give  him the 
  69. stuff. But I  don't  care  at all, he's 
  70. always  ready  to  help  me  when  it's 
  71. needed,  in any way. So, after years of 
  72. friendship,  when  he will come towards 
  73. me to shake my hand, as always, would I 
  74. say  him  "Back  off,  fucking lamer, I 
  75. don't want you  to  touch  me !" Better 
  76. die ...

  78. I now end with this very short article. 
  79. I hoped I would never have to write  it 
  80. but the scene is getting worse and wor-
  81. se, leaving   beginners  alone. If  you 
  82. want to  overtake the scene, you've got 
  83. to have some inheriters ! And remember:
